"The Sea Change"

One of my absolute favorite romantic comedies has to be a lovely movie called, "The Sea Change" starring Sean Chapman (who played Frank Cotton in the horror/thriller "Hellraiser"), Maryam D'Abo, and Ray Winstone (The Departed, Sweeney Todd, The Final Cut, King Arthur). 

I came across it accidentally while searching google for other movies which British-born actor Sean Chapman also starred in. I ordered the DVD on Amazon.com, but since then found the full movie free on a site called Sockshare.PM. I highly recommend watching it if you are a lover of romance and mermaids!

In Chinese (Eastern) astrology, I fall under the category of a Wood Dragon which is kind of odd because in Western astrology I am the sign of Pisces which is a water element. Interesting concept to me all the same.

Mermaid Water Cocktail

MERMAID WATER

2 oz (60 ml) Spiced Rum
1 oz (30 ml) Coconut Rum
6 oz (180 ml) Pineapple Juice
1/2 oz (15 ml) Lime Juice
Top off with Pineapple Juice
Splash Blue curaçao
Garnish with Lime Wheels
*(I actually also add a splash of Sprite soda)*

PREPARATION

1. Build a glass using ice and lime slices.
2. Pour in spiced rum, coconut rum, pineapple juice, lime juice, and blue curaçao.
3. Garnish with a lime slice.

Happy Wednesday, my dear mermaid enthusiasts! Today, I thought I would share with you just a few of the mermaid treasures I have come across in my travels here and there. It would have looked great in my backyard at home. LOL!

This gorgeous mermaid table that was hand-carved out of wood was inside of an Indian jewelry and clothing store. It was on sale for $1,200. Needless to say, it did not make it home with me ... isn't she awesome though?
