Ever since I was a child, I held a strange fascination with mermaids. I remember watching an old cartoon on my grandmother's cable television called, "Marine Boy" about the adventures of a boy and his friends, a mermaid named "Neptina" and her dolphin, companion Splasher. I would sit on the floor and actually draw these characters while I watched the show. Oddly enough, I used to do the same thing while watching "The Flintstones." LOL!

Dragons anyone?

Greetings everyone! As you can see by the name of my blog, I am both a mermaid AND dragon enthusiast! One of my absolute favorite television shows is "Game of Thrones." From the very first season, I fell in love with author George R. R. Martin's character of Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons who is strong, beautiful and compassionate.

I just wanted to share a few cool pics I found from the series and such.  Hope you all enjoy and Brightest Blessings!

Her "children" Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion

Mhysa, "mother"

Ahh, to ride the dragon's back!
"Dracarys!" ~ A counterpart phrase, valar dohaeris, is translated as "all men must serve." The word dracarys is translated as meaning "dragonfire." Obsidian is called "dragonglass" in the Common Tongue, but "frozen fire" in High Valyrian. Valonqar is the word for "little brother."

As Tyrion prepared to release Rhaegal and Viserion — the two remaining dragons in Meereen — from the dungeon Daenerys locked them in back in season four, he forced himself to believe they would know he was trying to help them. “Dragons are intelligentThey have affection for their friends and fury for their enemies."

The Sea ~ A poem by Lady Caer Morganna

The Sea

She moves through the night
With beauty and grace
Her movements take flight
'Tis a wondrous place

Her waves so blue
She suddenly stirs
And befriending you
Are the neroids and "mers"

She feeds the soul
And soothes the heart
Seas' ancient lull
Though tides apart

Mermaid Song ~ A poem by Lady Caer Morganna

Mermaid Song

Who is this mermaid?
Where hence she come?
Underneath the Moon,
Beneath the Sun;
A beautiful temptress
She croons in the night,
Her soft songs of love
An alluring sight;
Man's sweet desire
And sailor's true friend,
She heals thy heart
Her beauty doth mend

Magical Mermaids and Dolphins Oracle Cards

These are my Magical Mermaids and Dolphins Oracle cards by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D. They were an awesome gift from my friend Waterfae. By the way, she also made the cool purple crushed velvet bag to put them in! ^^

It is a 44-card deck and they are so easy to use. All you have to do is hold each of the cards close to your heart while meditating on their meaning and, simultaneously, consecrating them with your own personal energy. Much as you would use the tarot deck, you must concentrate on what you would like to know. With your right hand, pick up a portion of the deck and look at the face of the bottom card. You must do this two more times as the first card represents your past, second card the present and your third your future or outcome card. The "Divine Magic" card  adds extra strength/power to whichever card comes after it.

I adore mermaids and these cards are simply lovely! I can't wait to start using them!

Welcome fellow mermaid lovers! My name is Lady Caer Morganna

.

The following is a poem I had written about the ghost of a man who fell in love with a mermaid and, since he could not live underneath the water with her nor could she live on the land with him, he decided he would rather drown than live without her. So every year on the night in which he died, he comes back to see her once again, if only for a night ...

The Mermaid Lover

The moonlight strikes her long blonde hair
She calls to him, "Tis my love there"?
On shore she sits upon a rock
And waits for him to sail the loch

He travels so far for her sweet touch ~
His mermaid yearns for him so much
Crooning for him her ballad of love
And guides his way like stars above

"I'd drown for you, my love, he said
to spend enternity in your sea bed,
For death is sweet forever with thee ~
Our love transcends the land and sea"

She knows come morn as day draws near
Her star-crosseed lover must disappear
Leaving her behind hence another year
To pine for his love, so true and so dear
