Mermaid Song

Who is this mermaid?
Where hence she come?
Underneath the Moon,
Beneath the Sun;
A beautiful temptress
She croons in the night,
Her soft songs of love
An alluring sight;
Man's sweet desire
And sailor's true friend,
She heals thy heart
Her beauty doth mend
