From the treasure chest

Greetings, friends! I found some new additions to my treasure chest. The first one was actually a precious gift from my sister Aurora Skye for Yule. It is a gorgeous measuring spoon set ...

A Moonglow mermaid and dragon ...

And finally, a beautiful silver mermaid and merman pendant which I made into a necklace ...

 Have a lovely day everyone!!

What's new?

Did someone say Etsy? Beautiful mermaid ring and bracelet to match ...

I really like the seashell addition to the bracelet clasp.

A very special gift ...

This lovely mermaid ring was a surprise gift from my hubby. It is a sterling silver sapphire with small diamond chips surrounding it. He found it on Tophatter recently so it was a great bargain for sure! ...

I also noticed that Bath & Body Works has a new mermaid hand cream. Nice and small for carrying with you in your purse ...
As I said before, there was a time when there were no mermaid items to be found anywhere in stores, not even the new-age or wicca shoppes. But now it seems to be the popular thing along with unicorns as well. I have always loved mermaids and always will!

Something new from Kirks Folly

My sister Aurora sent me a link to a beautiful piece of mermaid jewelry she had found online. It is a lovely necklace which can also be used as a pin (necklace chain was included) ...

The mermaid is adorned with charms ... a lobster, a sea turtle, goldfish, seashell, and seahorse.

This pic gives you a better idea of exactly how large this piece is.

I also made an easy pair of mermaid earrings from a couple of items I picked up at our local Michael's Arts & Crafts Store ...

Wishing all a blessed weekend!!

Did someone say mermaid fairies?

One of my good friends whom I had met while I worked at my last employer of 14 years introduced me to a fabulous new site called Victorian Trading Company. She purchases some gorgeous cameo pins from them and brought me one of her mail catalogs into work for me to look through. All I can say is ... OMG! LOVE IT!!

They offer a large variety of items, but they are a tad expensive which is why I will not be ordering their merchandise too often. I did; however, recently buy this beautiful mermaid fairy necklace and earring set on sale ... mainly because these are so hard to find anywhere ...
Love the clasp

Of course, there is still the very cool things you can find much cheaper, less expensive on sites such as WISH and Tophatter. This mermaid necklace is one of my favorites to wear out and goes with almost anything really ...

I have had soo many compliments on this mermaid crescent moon with heart piece it always amuses me! Ever notice how people seem to compliment you on the stuff you have either had forever or something you spent very little on? LOL!!

From the treasure chest ...

As a recent gift and addition to my personal treasure chest, I wanted to share with all of you a beautiful piece I received for my birthday this year. It is an Amphitrite cameo brooch. As you all know, in Greek mythology she was Queen of the Sea, the wife of Poseidon, and daughter to Doris and Nereus.

Triumph of Poseidon and Amphitrite showing the couple in procession, detail of a vast mosaic from CirtaRoman Africa (ca. 315–325 AD, now at the Louvre)

I really love this portrait ...
Neptune and Amphitrite by Jacob de Gheyn II (latter 16th-century)

Two cool (and very cheap and inexpensive) Dragon necklaces I found on the WISH site last week ...

I used a bronze chain for this pendant.

The Dragon necklace is a bit big, but with the right attire, I think it could compliment pretty nicely!

New additions ...

As per usual, whilst looking for something else, I came across a couple of items at our local A.C.Moore Arts & Crafts store. I found a wall frame for my nautical-themed bathroom ...

and this pretty little mermaid charm just begging for a nice little bronze necklace chain in which to hang it on ...

As well as these little treasures, I picked out a lovely frame for a very special MagicLoveCrow painting I purchased from her called, "Step Into Your Greatness."

This particular piece holds a very personal meaning to me. MagicLoveCrow is perhaps the most beautifully inspirational art I have ever seen!
